How will my CRANE Cast Iron Radiators be delivered?

CRANE Cast Iron Radiators are delivered carefully packaged on a pallet. The delivery vehicle will have a tail lift and a pallet truck to get the pallet off of the vehicle, but it is your responsibility to arrange movement of the cast iron radiators into your site. Please note that CRANE Cast Iron Radiators are extremely heavy - because the metal has less impurities than Asian cast iron radiators, our cast iron radiators can be as much as 50% heavier than Chinese cast iron radiators. You will need ample manpower or machinery to move them.

Do CRANE Radiators Ltd offer Trade Accounts?

CRANE Radiators UK Ltd is the last traditional manufacturer of Cast Iron Radiators in the UK, all of our Cast Iron Radiators are produced in Europe and assembled at our factory in the United Kingdom. CRANE Radiators UK Ltd do not sell directly from our British factory or our Company Headquarters. We deal through a network of trusted, knowledgeable and reliable market professionals. What is the inspiration for CRANE Cast Iron Radiators?

CRANE Radiators were first sold in the United Kingdom as early as 1906. They quickly grew in popularity because of their clean lines and excellent casting quality. Today CRANE Radiators have developed a reputation for the highest quality and distinctive castings.

Are CRANE Radiators Environmentally Friendly?

CRANE Radiators UK Ltd is the last traditional manufacturer of Cast Iron Radiators in the UK. We have worked with several environmental organisations that have encouraged us to consider our environmental impact. As a result, we offset the carbon used in the production and distribution of all of our products. All CRANE Radiators are therefore Carbon Neutral.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery from our UK assembly factory does vary depending upon the time of year and the exact finish you require. Standard finishes take anything from 5 to 15 business days. Hand polished Cast Iron Radiators can add an additional 10 business days - subject to the time of year. If you are in a hurry on your project, talk to your stockist who may be able to prioritize your order - we always want you to be happy with your CRANE Cast Iron Radiator and can expedite certain orders if required.

Do I need a CRANE wall Stay?

We always recommend wall stays with every Cast Iron Radiator for additional safety when installing a cast iron radiator.

What is the difference between a European cast CRANE Radiator and Asian cast iron radiators?

CRANE Cast Iron Radiators are the last traditional cast iron radiator manufacturer to retain all manufacturing processes in Great Britain and Europe. Over the previous 30 years all other manufacturers have transferred to manufacturing to asia - mainly China. We have analysed the quality of what is produced and the difference is considerable. Production techniques in Asian foundries mean that it is impossible for cheap Chinese cast iron radiator manufacturers to give a 100 year guarantee - only CRANE Cast Iron Radiators have a 100 year guarantee.

What colours and finishes can I have on my CRANE Cast Iron Radiators?

CRANE Cast Iron Radiators are available in primer, hand polished, satin polished or a variety of paint finishes. We can paint your CRANE Cast Iron Radiators in any RAL Colour, but we tend to work with Sandersons paint and Farrow and Ball paint.

Can I paint my own CRANE Cast Iron Radiator?

CRANE Cast Iron Radiators can be supplied in primer allowing you to paint or finish your CRANE Cast Iron Radiator in your own requirements.

CRANE Radiators are the only Cast Iron Radiators with a 100 year guarantee, what are the terms of this guarantee?

No ifs or buts, our castings are simply the best available which is why they can be found in the finest houses and public buildings. If your casting develops any fault, we will take it back and replace it for a like for like cast iron radiator. Please retain your proof of purchase.

What is the maximum size of a CRANE Cast Iron Radiator?

CRANE Cast Iron Radiators can be shipped in one piece up to 1200mm long. If you require a longer CRANE Cast Iron Radiator it will be shipped in two pieces and will require some on site assembly. Talk to your stockist about this.
